man, this is so good !! I love it ! the crazy amount of details is so fun. Lovely title as well.

This reminds me of the good old cartoon days of Betty Boop and Felix the Cat. Also it made me think of work by Gary Panter or KAZ.
But it is definitely and uniquely yours.

How much I love the color the version, I think the black and white version is even better. anddd you should do a print of it ! I'll buy it !
I can totally see you do an A2 poster like this and selling that in a cool shop.

yay, brother awesome is back in town! thanks dude! actually, I was up to put a few prints on society6, but then I found out that it coast 1$ join. man, I'm so broke I can't even afford 1 lousy dollar right now :D The original is in B/W on A4 paper: [link]
the cool thing is, that I was so painstaking on the lines that you can easily blow it up to an A2 piece, without getting any shabby looks. I promised myself, next month I will spend some money on art stuff :)

Oh yeah, I love the toons from the great U.S depression and the music too! It's so great how forthright they are dealing with death and sickness, those things were around so much that nobody was able to ignore it^^ Storys from Hooverville and all that stuff :) Speaking of Panter and KAZ, that's a huge compliment man! I will always give back credits to R. Crumb, he opened that wild and wicked indie comix universe for me.

a lot of people use society6 or bigcartel, but why not sell prints on your own ? that way you keep all the money. you do have to care about sending and stuff, but I still think it's better that way. if you want I pay you in advance so you can make the print :). you don't have to blow it up to A2, A3 would be fine and easier to send.

yeah, the music and toons of the great us depression era are fantastic. I can see we share a similar love for that. true, they probably made those cartoons to make the terrible times a bit easier, I never really thought of that. things are very different now. although the financial crisis is pretty much back.
and oh yes, mister Crumb ! he definitely opened up the road for the whole indie comix and alternative scene in the us and maybe the world. when I was 18 I was really into his cross hatching line drawing style. and I still like that a lot, but guess the more clean tintin style is what I do now

ah, sorry for the late reply mate, I needed a few days internet rest :)

You're right about that, I'm gonna write you an e-mail.

I always wanted to built myself a little screen printing machine, which is no big deal, keeping the coast low by just printing B/W and maybe color them afterwards by hand. Having full control of your product and creating something unique seems very cool to me.

yeah, I was into Crumbs cross hatching style too, and like you I want to go a bit more into the clean tintin direction now :D

that manual printing technique sounds interesting. intensive maybe, but definitely cool results then

I still like the cross hatching style, but it might get schizophrenic if I start using it again now. maybe for a certain project. or if I can find a combination of both styles for something, that could be interesting

oh, I think that could work great together, your clean outlines and a little cross-shading on the inside, not much and only with enough space to the outline. ah damn that drawing function just works on the profile :( anyway, I would love to see that :)

Olá Comandante, a few words but I have no idea how to write them down, taught by friends you know. I choose spanish for the title because I really like the sound of it. I know 2 lovely girls from Catalonia, they repeat poems to each other all day long, I can't understand a single thing but I could listen to them forever, it's like lionspeak to my ears. Glad to hear from you Christian, seems like you've found a way to stay?! However, thanks my friend!
